Fallen Crown Ambulance Paramedic Honored on State Memorial Remembered During National EMS Week
As the nation celebrates EMS Week from May 19 to 25, the state of Maine will honor fallen emergency service providers with a memorial in Augusta, through the efforts of several members of the EMS community and the Maine Ambulance Association. The memorial, revealed on May 18, lists Robert Washington, a fallen Crown Ambulance paramedic who suffered a fatal heart attack at age 40 after serving in that department for nearly five years.

Rally of the Roof II Raises Over $25,000
Organizers of Rally on the Roof II are hailing the 2013 edition of the unique fundraiser a huge success. With pledged funds and donations still coming in, more than $25,000 was raised by detainees on the roof above the Giberson Day Surgery Unit at TAMC’s A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital last Thursday.
