Your Family & Friends

Every effort is made to ensure that your family and friends have ample opportunity to visit you in the hospital. If you have any questions regarding visiting hours, please ask the nursing staff or call our Patient Services Advocate by dialing 4394.

The hospital can be a lonely and frightening place when you are a patient. Please understand that our first priority is the well being of our patients.
  • Many of our patients’ tests, therapies and daily routines occur in the morning, so the best time to visit is in the afternoon and evening.
  • Please speak quietly and be respectful of the needs of other patients.
  • It is usually best to limit visitors to two at a time to respect the comfort of our patients. We encourage families to discuss scheduling their visits, in order not to overwhelm the patient by having many visitors all at one time.
  • While support of loved ones is important, we also ask that visitors respect the patient’s need for rest during their recovery.
Coffee and tea are available at no charge in the cafeteria located in the basement of the hospital from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and at the Main Entrance from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The hospital has a chapel that is available for visitors to use 24 hours a day. A complete visitor’s guide with information about all of the hospital’s visitor amenities is available in waiting areas or from the Patient Services Advocate.
