Crown Ambulance, a department of TAMC, has bases of operation in Fort Fairfield, Limestone, Mars Hill, and Presque Isle and provides emergency medical services in 16 Aroostook County cities and towns. Crown operates a critical care transport service which tranfers patients from A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital to hospitals in Bangor, Augusta, Portland, and Boston when needed. It is the largest emergency medical service in Aroostook County.

Crown's efforts have enabled cities and towns in its service area to be designated as Maine Heartsafe Communities at the platinum level. In order to achieve this status, organizations must offer CPR training in the community, provide access to Automated External Defibrillators, maintain American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications for staff, and meet other criteria.

Crown was named EMS Service of the Year by Mid-Coast EMS in 2008.
